- On November 26, the two-story floor space opened its doors to feature 300 seasonal items.
- Canada Goose, a luxury brand, has opened its first store in Scotland, bringing its Canadian warmth to Edinburgh.
The lifestyle brand currently operates 30 stores across the globe, with its most recent location on Edinburgh’s iconic Multrees Walk.
The brand is described as providing ‘innovative and luxurious outerwear,’ and it specializes in clothing to keep you warm when the cold weather hits. If Canada and Scotland have one thing in common, it’s cold weather.
The new store follows the capital city’s expansion into luxury shopping, which began with the new St James Quarter opening on June 24, 2021.
The two-story floor space, which opened on November 26, features 300 seasonal items that combine the brand’s decades of experience with Scottish craftsmanship.
Shoppers will be available to browse a variety of the brand’s iconic pieces to keep you warm this season, such as the Chilliwack Bomber jacket and the Mystique Parka, which actors between film sets have worn.
Other ranges provide shoppers with various sweatshirts, sweaters, knitwear, and fleece to keep them warm in cold weather.
The new store also provides a one-of-a-kind shopping experience, as artworks from the brand’s HUMAN NATURE Art Collection will be on display for admiration. It is the world’s most extensive retail collection of Inuit art, with over 257 artworks on display in its 30 stores.
The news of the store’s opening comes after the brand became quite controversial due to their stance on the continued use of real fur in their collections. Following the backlash, the brand has recently announced that all fur will be phased out of their stores by 2021, including the Edinburgh location.
